Summary

PM Pediatric Care seeks a skilled provider to join our virtual Behavioral Health Program, specializing in psychopharmacology for child and adolescent behavioral health needs.

This unique opportunity provides comprehensive behavioral health services for common pediatric conditions, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, and conduct disorders, in an extended virtual model.

This per-diem position offers growth opportunities and the chance to work with a talented team.

Description

As a member of our virtual behavioral health team, you'll provide patient services using evidence-based medicine.

You'll diagnose and assess mental/behavioral health disorders for pediatric, adolescent, and young adult patients, formulating differential diagnoses.

You'll demonstrate clinical judgment in assessment and treatment, following established clinical care guidelines.

You'll collaborate with the therapist team and medical leadership to discuss patient treatment plans.

You'll order and interpret diagnostic tests when necessary.

You'll conduct patient history and initial evaluations of incoming patients.

You'll prescribe medications as part of the patient's treatment regime, as allowed by license.

You'll provide both medication management and counseling for patients.

You'll educate patients and parents on medication side effects, risk/benefits, and proper usage of new medication and reasonable outcome expectations of medications.

You'll establish and modify patient treatment plans based on clinical assessment and re-assessment with screening tools.

You'll document each patient visit in the electronic medical record, including subjective and objective data, assessments, treatment plans, and other documentation as necessary.

You'll communicate patient plans of care with the behavioral health team and patient's primary care physician.

You'll work with the healthcare team to educate patients about their medical care.

You'll continually update your clinical knowledge and skills through consultation, formal and informal education, and review of literature for the benefit of yourself and the healthcare team.

You'll provide appropriate referrals when necessary.

Qualifications

MD/DO with appropriate licensing in states prescribing.

Experience with prior psychopharmacology management.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to screen for danger to self or others.

Demonstrated adherence to acceptable ethical and behavioral standards of conduct.

Ability to collaborate with strong skills working with a team.

Experience working specifically with children and adolescents.

Valid DEA License in states prescribing.

Valid CDS License in states prescribing.

Compensation:

$170,000 - $280,000.
