IT Supervisory Specialist

Position Overview:
This role involves providing expert guidance and technical support to the NAVSUP BSC Command and associated entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure quality assurance certification for all completed tasks.
- Make daily decisions to prioritize workloads, manage project emphasis, allocate resources, and define organizational structures and responsibilities.
- Plan, direct, and evaluate departmental functions, including the acceptance and prioritization of projects from various sources.
- Supervise a professional team, handling administrative duties such as performance evaluations, problem resolution, personnel selection, and staff development while adhering to EEO policies.
Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and suitable for federal employment.
- Participation in the direct deposit pay program is mandatory.
- New hires must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
- Compliance with time-in-grade requirements is essential for current federal employees applying for GS positions.
- Retired military members must adhere to specific provisions regarding civilian employment within 180 days of retirement.
- Security clearance is required prior to entering duty, with consequences for failure to obtain it.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-14 level in federal service or comparable experience in the private sector is required, demonstrating mastery in policy application, IT project management, and resource management.
- Specialized experience should include:
1) Development and interpretation of IT policies and strategies.
2) Participation in agency-wide IT policy initiatives.
3) Managerial skills to coordinate complex IT tasks.
4) Oversight of support teams comprising both contractor and organic members.
5) Planning and directing subordinate staff work to enhance productivity and quality.
6) Presenting innovative ideas to command leadership for procedural improvements.
