Pipelayer/Topman I-III

Fiore & Sons Inc is seeking a skilled Pipelayer/Topman I-III to join our team. As a key member of our utility crew, you will be responsible for laying pipe for storm, sewers, drains, and water mains.

• Grading trenches or culverts, positioning pipe, sealing joints, and installing or using instruments such as lasers, grade rods, or transit levels.
• Digging trenches with trenching tools and cutting pipes to required lengths.
• Directing tractor drivers to position pipe in preparation for welding and checking slopes for conformance to requirements.
• Inspecting pipe joints and couplings to ensure pipes are spaced out properly and according to specifications.
• Laying pipe for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains, and grading trenches or culverts.

• General knowledge of trench safety and experience with grading trenches and operation of laser leveling systems.
• A good safety history and a willingness to engage and contribute to ongoing safe work practices.
• Responsible and reliable employee with good attendance habits and ability to follow direction and be a team-player.
• Effective communication with supervisors, team members, and client representatives.
