Overview:

Vaco is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineering Lead to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the development of software applications and ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of software applications, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design documents, and technical specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and developers.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and make recommendations for adoption and implementation.
  • Collaborate with other teams, such as product management and QA, to ensure that software applications meet business requirements and user needs.
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure high-quality software development and delivery.
  • Collaborate with other teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design documents, and technical specifications.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering and/or enterprise web development.
  • Proven experience in leading software development teams and projects.
  • Strong technical skills, including programming languages, frameworks, and design patterns.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with cloud-based technologies, including AWS and Azure.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines and monitoring.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence.
  • Experience with data science and analytics.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms, including AWS Lake Formation and Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines and monitoring.
