Job Summary

Aerotek is seeking a highly skilled Construction Site Superintendent to lead our capital projects team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing construction site supervisors, assigning work, and tracking progress to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Manage construction site supervisors, assign work, and track progress to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of construction site supervisors, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to ensure team members are equipped to succeed.
  • Communication: Develop and maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and contractors, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all construction work is completed to the highest quality standards, adhering to company policies and industry best practices.
  • Safety: Promote a safe working environment, ensuring that all construction activities are conducted in accordance with company safety policies and industry regulations.
  • Contractor Management: Manage relationships with contractors, ensuring that all contractual obligations are met and that contractors are held accountable for their work.
  • Supply Chain Management: Partner with the supply chain team to ensure that all materials and equipment are procured in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Reporting: Provide regular project updates to senior management, including project status, progress, and any issues or concerns.
Requirements
  • Education: Two- or four-year degree in Construction-related field preferred or 5+ years industry experience with emphasis in supporting capital projects, managing large or complex capital projects preferably in an automated environment.
  • Experience: Capital Project Management experience from conception to finalized design, commissioning plan development and execution, and final project close-out with budgets > $3M.
  • Skills: Experience with PLC's, VFD's, MCC's, MS Project, Contracting, Bid Development Packages, troubleshooting, commissioning and start-up, and knowledge of building, electrical and safety codes.
  • Soft Skills: Demonstrated success managing employees in a team environment, high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and important information in a timely manner, and demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
