**Job Overview**

CNM is seeking a skilled Financial Services Technician to provide exceptional customer service to our constituents. As a key member of our Business Office, you will be responsible for processing payments, resolving student account issues, and providing timely refunds.

**Estimated Salary:** $15.50 - $18.06 per hour (hourly compensation rate based on the CNM region)

**Job Description**

  • Process high volumes of payment transactions from students, visitors, and employees, including cash, check, and credit card transactions.
  • Collect and post deposits from various departments and clubs, generating collectable documentation as needed.
  • Maintain security procedures to ensure the safety of funds and balance cashier drawers daily.
  • Analyze student accounts, process refunds when necessary, and provide accurate explanations of tuition, fees, financial aid disbursement, and refund amounts.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Support non-credit offerings through CNM Ingenuity, including collecting payments, making reminder calls, and tracking cohorts.
  • Make outgoing calls to students regarding payments and late payments.
  • Prepare itemized student bills upon request.

**Requirements**

  • High school diploma or equivalent and related experience required.
  • Prior experience in higher education, cash handling, and customer service preferred.
