Job Title: Adjunct Instructor-Automotive, Open-Entry/Self Paced

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Adjunct Instructor-Automotive, Open-Entry/Self Paced to join our team at Central Texas College. The successful candidate will be responsible for educating and training students in various aspects of automotive systems, including diagnostics, repair, and maintenance in an open-entry, self-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver curriculum, providing hands-on instruction and assessing student progress.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and facilities, and foster strong industry connections to prepare students for successful careers in the automotive field.
  • Engage and motivate students with various learning styles and backgrounds, and design and deliver hands-on training activities and assessments.
  • Stay current with advancements in automotive technology and update curriculum accordingly.

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree from a nationally, regionally or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education required.
  • 3-to-5 years of recent paid work experience, exclusive of teaching, with ASE Certifications: G-1, A-4, A-5 OR ASE Certifications within one year of hire Preferred: Master ASE.

Working Conditions:

This is an in-person position that involves occasional evening or weekend hours to support program needs.

Salary and Benefits:

$20.00 per hour, with benefits as per Central Texas College's policies.
