Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Sutter Health. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized nuclear medicine procedures to produce high-quality images for physicians and other healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Competently perform nuclear medicine procedures to produce accurate images
  • Work independently, exercising sound judgment and clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures
  • Gain confidence and cooperation from patients, families, and healthcare providers through competent patient assessment and effective communication
  • Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure patient privacy and safety
  • May be responsible for performing specific procedures and/or orienting other staff to the department
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an educational program in Nuclear Medicine or Radiography accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Educational Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology or the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists
  • Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) or Radiologic Technologist (RT) is required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required
  • 5 years of recent relevant experience in nuclear medicine or radiography
Preferred Qualifications
  • General knowledge of diagnostic nuclear medicine principles, procedures, views, and equipment
  • Ability to perform routine nuclear medicine examinations and basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information to diverse audiences
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures
Work Environment

This is a per diem/casual position with a variable schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends. The pay range for this role is $72.43 to $90.51 per hour.
