About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Cashier at Petco. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and safe store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide prompt and courteous service to all guests, answering questions and making recommendations on pet care products and services.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit, and check sales, as well as returns and exchanges.
  • Assist with stocking and facing merchandise, maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
  • Participate in the completion of quarterly and annual physical inventory counts.
  • Adhere to established safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for store partners, guests, and animals.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and pull 2000 pounds utilizing material handling equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
