Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As an MRI Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of magnetic resonance imaging scans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests to ensure accurate and safe procedures.
  • Screen patients for MRI safety and explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as needed.
  • Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment to comply with government regulations and ensure patient and staff safety.
  • Assist radiologists with procedure performance and start I.V.s as directed.
  • Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality and collate processed images for medical interpretation.
  • Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration and follow safety procedures when working with radiation.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist.
  • BLS certification.
  • ARRT National certification with registration in magnetic resonance imaging.
  • State-specific licensing when required.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time and bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
