We are seeking experienced MRI Technologists to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As an MRI Tech, you will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging equipment and ensuring that images are accurate and of high quality.
Key Responsibilities- Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests to ensure accurate procedures.
- Screen patients for MRI safety and explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as needed.
- Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment to comply with government regulations and ensure patient and staff safety.
- Assist radiologists with procedure performance and evaluate MRI scans for technical quality.
- Maintain accurate patient records and understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
- 1 year of experience as an MRI Tech.
- BLS certification.
- ARRT National certification with registration in magnetic resonance imaging.
- State-specific licensing when required.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
