Technical Inside Sales Representative Overview

We are in search of a Technical Inside Sales Representative who will engage with clients daily to address their requirements efficiently and effectively. This role encompasses all aspects of inside sales, including product selection, quoting, customer service, logistics management, and resolution of customer inquiries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming requests for pricing, purchase orders, modifications, and cancellations from clients, manufacturers, and distributors.
  • Provide accurate quotes for products and services to clients and outside sales representatives, ensuring proper entry into Dynamics 365.
  • Assist clients and outside sales teams with product selection and requirements.
  • Utilize computer systems to access customer data, stock status, order progress, and delivery details, making necessary adjustments to orders.
  • Ensure accurate coding for data retrieval and entry.
  • Collaborate closely with production and inventory management to coordinate timely deliveries of scheduled shipments for customer orders.
  • Address customer concerns related to technical issues, delivery schedules, returns, and complaints.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of active orders, documenting changes, scheduling updates, partial shipments, and credit adjustments.
  • Prepare necessary documentation for the accounting department to facilitate credit or debit transactions.

Position Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in customer service or sales, particularly in the valves or automation sectors within the chemical, oil, or gas industries, is preferred.
  • Demonstrated mechanical and technical aptitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
