Estimator Specialist

The Estimator Specialist plays a crucial role in determining the most cost-effective process structure to meet customer requirements. Working closely with the customer service and sales teams, this individual prepares quotations that meet customer needs.
Key Responsibilities- Responsible for cost estimate of labor and materials on proposed projects for bid.
- Analyzes project details to ensure accuracy of cost estimates, collaborating with engineering and production staff as needed.
- Develops and maintains extensive knowledge of products and services.
- Performs tasks in multiple areas of the functional discipline, with a focus on process cost structure and quoting.
- Leads interdisciplinary teams in process improvement initiatives, utilizing lean tools and techniques.
- Three to five years' experience with custom manufacturing quoting processes.
- Outstanding Excel skills, including formulas, lookup tables, and ODBC links.
- Proficiency in creating written and pictorial documentation of manufacturing processes.
- Experience with computer software, including MS Office and ERP systems.
- Experience in low-volume, high-variety manufacturing and ISO quality environments is a plus.
