Estimator Specialist

The Estimator Specialist plays a crucial role in determining the most cost-effective process structure to meet customer requirements. Working closely with the customer service and sales teams, this individual prepares quotations that meet customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the company's products and services.
- Analyze project details to ensure accurate cost estimates.
- Collaborate with engineering and production staff to ensure cost estimates are accurate.
- Prepare quotations that meet customer requirements.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to optimize quoting processes.
Requirements:
- Three to five years of experience in custom manufacturing quoting processes.
- Outstanding Excel skills, including formulas, lookup tables, and ODBC links.
- Proficiency in creating written and pictorial documentation of manufacturing processes.
- Experience with computer software, including MS Office and ERP systems.
- Experience in low-volume, high-variety manufacturing is a plus.
- Experience working as a machinist or craftsman is a plus.
- Experience working in an ISO quality environment is a plus.
- Associates degree and relevant certifications are a plus.
Work Environment:
The work environment is typical of most office environments, with occasional visits to the manufacturing floor. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
