Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Teacher - PreK to join our team at Richmond Public Schools. As a key member of our educational community, you will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction and guidance to our students, while also contributing to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement a comprehensive curriculum that meets the diverse needs and abilities of students.
  • Create a safe and engaging classroom environment that fosters academic growth and social development.
  • Develop and implement effective instructional strategies to promote student learning and achievement.
  • Assess student progress and provide regular feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement school-wide initiatives and programs.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practices and stay current with best practices in education.
Requirements
  • Valid Virginia teaching license in an elementary endorsement area.
  • One year of teaching experience or its equivalency.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
