Job Title: Fire Sprinkler Technician

The Building People, LLC, is seeking a highly skilled Fire Sprinkler Technician to join our facilities engineering program. This is a full-time position that will support a federal Agency.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspection of all facility fire suppression and alarm systems as required by fire life and safety codes and regulations.
  • Perform complex technical tasks, including hydraulic calculations, to ensure fire code compliance and fire life safety.
  • Apply technical knowledge to solve problems and interpret manufacturers' manuals or similar documents.
  • Work closely with supervisors and higher-level technicians to ensure accurate and efficient work.
Requirements:
  • NICET 3 certification in wet suppression.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in water-based fire protection systems layout, including hydraulic calculations.
  • Experience working with fire alarm systems, such as Simplex and Notifier.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 40lbs and climbing ladders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working from building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
