Job Overview

Position Title: Cashier

Reports To: Service Manager/Business Manager

Role Summary: The Cashier plays a crucial role in managing customer transactions, ensuring accurate payment processing for products and services while maintaining a welcoming and professional demeanor. This position also involves various clerical tasks and adherence to company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process cash, checks, and credit card transactions from customers, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Manage and finalize repair orders efficiently.
  • Provide change and issue receipts to customers promptly.
  • Conduct daily cash reconciliation to ensure accuracy.
  • Direct customers with further inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
  • Address customer concerns with professionalism and direct them to the right individual for resolution.
  • Perform general administrative tasks as required.
  • Participate in training sessions as instructed by management.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Execute any additional responsibilities as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience: No prior experience necessary.

Special Skills: Strong verbal communication abilities, proficiency in reading and understanding instructions, excellent customer service skills, basic math skills, and familiarity with personal computer applications including word processing and spreadsheets.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

This role frequently involves working on a computer or engaging in tasks requiring close vision. Manual dexterity is necessary for operating a cash register and handling cash. Occasionally, the position may require lifting materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
