Position Overview

We are looking for a committed individual to fill the role of Construction Support Technician, tasked with overseeing work orders, fixtures, and various construction initiatives. This position involves collaboration with department leaders to address work order requests and ensure adherence to operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate coordination with various departments to address production and construction requirements.
  • Assist with both pre and post-event construction activities, including maintenance and repair duties.
  • Perform outdoor work in diverse weather conditions.

Required Qualifications

  • Alignment with the core values of the State Fair of Texas.
  • Familiarity with construction practices and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of relevant building standards and regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and municipal codes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience in maintenance roles.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.

Licensing Requirements

  • Possession of a Texas driver's license or the ability to acquire one.

Supervisory Structure

  • Reports directly to the Fairtime Operations Supervisor.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

Work Environment

  • Outdoor responsibilities in varying weather conditions and terrains.
  • Physical demands include mobility and the capacity to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Flexible work schedules based on event requirements.
