Job Description:

As a Pharmacy Manager at Walgreens, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care and driving business growth. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to lead a high-performing pharmacy team and contribute to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Experience:
    • Engage patients by providing exceptional customer service and resolving issues in a timely manner.
    • Model and share customer service best practices with team members to deliver a distinctive and joyful patient experience.
    • Connect with patients by anticipating their needs and proactively offering services.
  • Operations:
    • Counsel patients and answer questions regarding medication usage, side effects, interactions, and contraindications.
    • Refers to medical providers as needed to ensure medication is taken correctly and health needs are addressed.
    • Performs pharmacist tasks, including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
  • Leadership:
    • Collaborate with Store Manager to define and develop new strategic business opportunities.
    • Manage pharmacy staff performance by overseeing training, conducting formal performance reviews, and identifying high-potential team members.
    • Address employee relations concerns and maintain team member morale.
  • Business Performance Management:
    • Analyze performance data, including pharmacy financials, customer service, and inventory.
    • Manage pharmacy asset protection activities and oversee inventory management.
    • Identify pharmacy performance trends and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements:
  • BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D Degree from an accredited educational institution.
  • Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
  • Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
  • At least 1 year pharmacy experience, including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software, and technology systems, and insurance billing.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Supervisory experience planning, organizing, and directing the work of pharmacy staff.
  • At least 6 months pharmacy experience with Walgreen Co.
