The selected candidate will lead a dedicated team of three professionals, focusing on the oversight of control procedures related to the investment book of record. This role involves a thorough analysis of security-level accounting data for client portfolios and ensuring the integrity of GAAP and statutory financial information across diverse asset classes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain, review, and analyze GAAP and statutory accounting for fixed income, equity, and derivative investments across all assigned client portfolios.
  • Evaluate security-level accrued interest, earned income, amortized cost, and effective yields to guarantee accurate representation of assets and related transactions in the accounting system.
  • Examine cash flows on fixed income securities, assess purchase yields, and analyze yield fluctuations to support precise book values and inputs into the centralized impairment process.
  • Collaborate with client service representatives to verify the accuracy of initial portfolio and security-level accounting attributes.
  • Oversee the monthly update of book value information within the Investment Book of Record.
  • Manage the reconciliation of client accounting service gross asset values with internal accounting system values.
  • Supervise the administration of limited partnership assets, including capital statement valuation and the recording of limited partnership transactions in the investment and accounting book of records.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • CPA or CFA designation is mandatory.
  • Experience in insurance accounting and statutory reporting is essential.
  • Familiarity with the PAM investment accounting system or similar platforms is advantageous.
Compensation

The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $125,000.
