Mental Health Association of Oklahoma is seeking an experienced Homeless Outreach and Rapid Response Liaison to join our team.
Compensation PackageThe salary for this position is approximately $45,000 - $55,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Build rapport with individuals experiencing homelessness, providing essential support, guidance, and resources through street outreach efforts.
- Develop and implement comprehensive case plans to address housing, healthcare, and other critical needs for chronically homeless individuals.
- Collaborate closely with a network of agencies, including law enforcement and social service organizations, to ensure seamless coordination of services.
- Respond to immediate crises and provide support to individuals in distress, utilizing effective crisis intervention techniques.
- Maintain accurate records and generate reports to track progress and inform program decisions.
- A minimum of 2 years in active recovery from substance abuse.
- A strong passion for helping others and a commitment to social justice.
- Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, or substance abuse issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm.
