Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Special Education Speech Therapist to work in Newport News, VA. This full-time contract position involves a mix of assessments, IEP management, and direct speech therapy services.

About the Role

This district offers five openings, and we will match the candidates with their preferred age group. The role requires experience with assessments, IEPs, and direct therapy services. You should be able to work with a variety of age groups, from elementary to high school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Provide direct speech therapy services to students
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to ensure student progress
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology required
  • Active Virginia SLP license (CCC) required
  • Experience with assessments, IEPs, and direct therapy services
  • Ability to work with a variety of age groups
