About the Role
Portsmouth Regional Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Critical Care Float Team. As a Float RN, you will have the opportunity to work in various acute care settings, including ICU, PCNT, IVCU, IMCU, and Medical Surgical units. This role requires flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing patient needs and unit requirements.
Responsibilities
- Carry out physician orders in the critical care setting, demonstrating critical thinking skills and scientific judgment.
- Provide high-quality patient care, prioritizing tasks and modifying care plans as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient admission and discharge plans, maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Participate in the orientation of new personnel, attend team meetings, and contribute to the development of unit and departmental goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Hampshire or active RN Compact State License.
- 1-3 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- BLS (American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS or American Red Cross BLS) and ACLS certifications required.
