Critical Care Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Critical Care Float Team at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. As a Float RN, you will have the opportunity to work in various acute care settings, including ICU, PCNT, IVCU, IMCU, and Medical Surgical units, gaining experience in critical care areas with differing levels of patient acuity and care protocol.
Responsibilities- Carry out physician orders within the critical care setting, demonstrating critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in planning patient care.
- Set priorities and modify patient care in response to changing situations, utilizing problem-solving skills and good judgment.
- Perform prescribed treatments, evaluate patient reactions to medication and treatments, and record observations into Meditech.
- Coordinate patient admission and discharge plans with case managers, patients, and families, maintaining a written plan of nursing care or critical pathways.
- Communicate clinical outcomes and provide education to patients and families as needed.
- Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of New Hampshire or active RN Compact State License.
- 1-3 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- BLS (American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS or American Red Cross BLS).
- ACLS (American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS or American Red Cross BLS).
