Job Overview

Rust & Company CPAs is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Preparer to join our team of professionals. As a Tax Preparer, you will play a critical role in preparing federal and state income tax returns for individuals and businesses, as well as providing tax planning and consulting services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare federal and state income tax returns for individuals and businesses
  • Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients
  • Work with clients to prepare tax projections and complete regular tax planning
  • Use UltraTax CS and Thomson Reuters products to prepare tax returns
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Two years of experience in accounting work or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Experience working with QuickBooks a plus but not required
  • Strong technology skills using Microsoft Office
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision
