Job Description

Kraken Communications seeks an experienced Diesel Equipment Technician to join its team. As a key member of our Micro Trenching Crew, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our equipment.

Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot diesel equipment, including micro trenching machines and related machinery.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance tasks to prevent equipment downtime.
  • Diagnose complex mechanical issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with the Micro Trenching Crew to optimize equipment performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of equipment operations, maintenance requirements, and troubleshooting techniques.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000-$75,000, depending on experience. We offer a competitive compensation package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or vocational training preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Mechanic, preferably in construction or micro trenching equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and specialized equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and technical drawings.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
