SAIC is in search of a skilled Software Engineer to support our United States Air Force client. The ideal candidate will innovate and develop cutting-edge solutions and functionalities for military systems.

This role involves designing and creating front-end user interfaces that seamlessly integrate with cloud-based software systems, adhering to contemporary DevSecOps and Agile methodologies.


Key Responsibilities:
Develop program code, compile, debug, test, deploy, document, and implement software for both new and existing systems.

Integrate Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) products.

Deploy cloud-based applications to on-premises environments.

Ensure quality and consistency through peer reviews and code evaluations.

Identify and resolve errors, troubleshoot issues, and conduct routine performance enhancements.

Facilitate the connection between graphic design and technical execution.

Create user stories and testing plans.

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A Bachelor's degree with nine (9) years or more of experience; a Master's degree with seven (7) years or more of experience; or a PhD or JD with four (4) years or more of experience.

Must be a US citizen and possess a DOD Secret clearance with the capability to obtain a TS/SCI.


Demonstrated expertise in front-end application development, design, and software patterns utilizing technologies such as: JavaScript, jQuery, Firebug, and JavaScript frameworks (React, Redux, Angular, NodeJS, etc.), RESTful Web services, Java, HTML5, CSS3, ES6 & Typescript.

Experience in implementing RESTful microservices, focusing on scalability, decoupling, resilience, and reusability of components.

Familiarity with Interface Description Language (IDL) standards such as OpenAPI and AsyncAPI.

Experience integrating Open Mission Systems Universal and Universal Command and Control 2.0+.

Proficiency in integrating NGA Mapping Services, ArcGIS, Map Servers, and ESRI Mapping Services.

Experience with code repositories that support distributed version control systems (DVCS) like GitLab and Bitbucket.

Experience integrating virtual machine-based on-premises applications with AWS and Azure cloud environments.

Knowledge of Agile software development practices, processes, and tools (e.g., SAFe, JIRA, Confluence).

Experience with DevSecOps practices, including continuous integration and development tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab Runners).

Target salary range:
$120,001 - $160,000. This range reflects the typical salary for this position based on experience and other relevant factors.
