The Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced After-School Program Facilitator to join our team. As a facilitator, you will lead social-emotional learning and enrichment activities for TK/K-6th grade students. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Motivating students through engaging lesson plans and activities
  • Assisting with homework completion and snack distribution
  • Effectively managing student behavior and ensuring student safety during outdoor activities
  • Working effectively with staff and embracing professional development
  • Serving as a positive role model to the students to build kids' self-esteem and emotional wellness
About You

We are looking for a candidate who has experience working with elementary and/or middle school kids. You should be able to:

  • Implement engaging lesson plans while maintaining accuracy and organization in activities
  • Effectively support kids' behavioral management needs
  • Connect with students and foster positive learning experiences
  • Improvise, adapt, and take initiative when needed by paying close attention to student needs
  • Be approachable, empathetic, patient, and able to build trust with kids
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Be eligible to work in the United States
  • Complete and pass a Live-Scan background check and TB screening
  • Have 1-2 years of working experience in education, coaching, child development, or other child-focused experiences
  • Have reliable transportation
  • Be willing to follow COVID-19 protocols outlined by the school
