About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen and Bath Designer to join our team at Arizona Building Supply. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and design expertise to builders, contractors, and homeowners statewide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Solicit new accounts and conduct job site visits to identify new business opportunities
  • Assist customers with product selection and order materials and quantities for projects
  • Conduct pre-construction site inspections and measurements to ensure accurate project planning
  • Perform automated design capabilities within stock and semi-custom product categories
  • Conduct bid and prep proposal functions to ensure timely and accurate project delivery
  • Order project materials and arrange project schedules, sub-contractor schedules, and material deliveries
  • Act as the liaison between customers, materials vendors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution
  • Review assigned accounts to ensure payments and credits are processed accurately and timely
  • Maintain current knowledge of daily and monthly sales and their relationship to margin goals
  • Understand all aspects of customer billing cycles, cash vs. credit, and how to figure and process deposits
  • Must possess the necessary knowledge to explain the differences in cabinet lines to customers
  • Have a broad knowledge of all other items sold, including various countertop products, cultured marble, sinks, faucets, etc.
  • Maintain an active file of new and existing customers and ensure all vendor literature is maintained and presented in a clean and neat fashion
  • Coordinate the delivery of materials to contractor-remodeler customers on an as-needed basis
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and professional-looking showroom
  • Participate in semi-annual inventory and ensure accurate tracking of products and materials
  • Know the pricing multipliers and current lead times for all cabinet lines, countertop fabricators, and miscellaneous products available
  • Understand the receiving process and the paperwork associated with it, and call vendors to follow up on any backordered items
  • Know the warranty policies of all items sold and be able to order such items when requested by customers
Requirements
  • Minimum education required: 60 hours of NKBA professional development programming and/or equivalent technical degree preferred
  • Minimum experience required: 3-7 years of Kitchen and Bath industry experience
  • Special skills required: Advanced computer-aided drafting skills, salesmanship, good verbal communication skills, and design presentation skills
  • Special knowledge required: Advanced knowledge of kitchen and bathroom design, general knowledge in all aspects of design and construction, and of building materials
  • Maintain a valid driver's license to operate a motor vehicle in the state of sales activity
  • Physical demands include sitting for extended periods, standing and walking, bending or stooping, lifting up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
