Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our team. As an EHS Specialist, you will work directly with our Environmental Team's engineers to evaluate facilities and processes to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with facility environmental, health, and safety policies and other applicable regulatory agencies
  • Evaluate products for potential user hazards, including data collection
  • Conduct environmental, health, and safety training
  • Create, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures
  • Review and update appropriate personal protective equipment in FOPs for workers to follow
  • Create/update waste stream profiles
  • Conduct equipment inspections
  • Air emission modeling
  • Write/review hazard evaluations for new materials
  • Work with business to audit daily work permits and report findings to supervisors
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or related discipline
  • 1-2 years professional Environmental Health and Safety experience preferred
  • Safety experience in a manufacturing or pilot plant setting preferred
  • Prior customer service experience with great interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and highly productive with the ability to balance multiple projects at once
  • Possess the ability to follow good documentation practices and adapt to changing schedules
