Job Summary:

The Hotel General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and driving revenue growth. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires a strong background in hotel management, team development, and sales and marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Development:
    • Select, train, counsel, and motivate a team of 6-8 employees.
    • Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Guest Services:
    • Promote and deliver exceptional guest services, including monitoring cleanliness and resolving guest-related concerns promptly.
    • Ensure that all guest interactions are friendly, professional, and responsive to their needs.
  • Revenue Growth and Budget Management:
    • Develop and administer the property revenue and budget expenses.
    • Monitor and analyze Profit & Loss statements and General Ledger reports to identify areas for improvement.
    • Submit P&L Variance Reports in a timely manner.
  • Sales and Marketing:
    • Develop and maintain relationships with competitive properties, City Conventions, Visitors Bureau, Chamber of Commerce, target accounts, lead sources, clients, etc.
    • Facilitate sales and marketing acumen to achieve revenue and maximum profitability.
  • Other Responsibilities:
    • Develop and maintain rapport with local business leaders and community organizations.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in hotel management and sales and marketing.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years' Hotel General Manager experience.
  • Proven team development and leadership background.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to stand, kneel, bend, and twist on a continuous basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver's License.
  • 1+ years' extended-stay hotel experience.
