As a Mental Health Therapist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality mental health services to our members. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of mental health conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for members with acute or chronic mental health needs.
- Provide outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups, using evidence-based practices and techniques.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination.
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify members' mental health needs and develop effective treatment plans.
- Provide education and support to members and their families on mental health topics, including medication management and coping strategies.
- Participate in departmental program development, implementation, and evaluation to ensure high-quality services and continuous improvement.
- Masters degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or related field from an accredited college or university.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California) with Couples and Families Endorsement.
- Experience working in a mental health setting, preferably in an outpatient or inpatient setting under licensed supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Knowledge of DSM-V, evidence-based practices, and psychotherapy research methods.
- Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment and participate in departmental on-call rotation.
- Previous post-license experience as a member of a psychiatric treatment team in an outpatient or inpatient setting/program under licensed supervision.
- Previous clinical responsibility to include crisis intervention, individual and group psychotherapy.
- Demonstrated professional maturity and ethical integrity necessary for assuming professional responsibilities.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality of service, teamwork, and participation in a highly interactive multidisciplinary clinic.
