Job Overview

Santa Fe Recovery Center, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Veterans Services Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for developing and implementing specialized services for veterans and military-involved individuals as part of the Certified Community Behavioral Health Center (CCBHC) model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate services with the VA and other providers to ensure seamless care for veterans.
  • Develop and lead individual and group peer support activities tailored to the specific needs of veterans and/or their families.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local veterans' and armed forces organizations in McKinley County, including tribal programs, the local VHA facilities, and Armed Forces.
  • Conduct outreach for purposes of recruitment and veteran benefits awareness.
  • Coordinate and participate in community events and programs as a representative of the organization to promote the agency's programs.
  • Ensure that all services provided are culturally competent, trauma-informed, and responsive to the unique needs of veterans.

Requirements:

  • Armed Forces Veteran
  • Certified Peer Support Worker (CPSW) or the ability to secure CPSW within six months of employment.
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, human services, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience working with veterans in a supportive or outreach capacity is preferred.
  • Experience with peer support programs, especially those focused on veterans, is highly desirable.
