Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Jones Lang LaSalle IP, Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing, HVAC systems, and mechanical maintenance, with a focus on preventative and corrective maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily operations of mechanical systems, with a focus on plumbing, water/steam processes, and HVAC systems.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and repair of plumbing/piping, HVAC, utilities, and fire/life safety systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on multiple systems and equipment.
  • Repair, maintain, restore, or replace various components of the buildings' physical structure.
  • Work on-call, including evenings, nights, and weekends, and be available to assist with general maintenance and support duties as needed.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience with exposure to piping/plumbing systems, mechanical systems, and boiler controls/operation.
  • Able to work in a customer service environment interacting with clients.
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with computer-based systems and programs, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Conflict resolution skills and ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports.
Physical Job Requirements
  • Must be able to adequately perform required job functions, including lifting, bending, and moving in a safe and approved manner.
  • Overhead work/working at heights required.
  • Skilled and physically able to operate electric hand tools, work on a ladder, carry tools, lift and carry heavy loads, operate required equipment, and operate a motor vehicle.
  • Able to work in close places such as closets, crawl spaces, attics, vaults, etc.
  • Subject to 24-hour availability and to work in all weather conditions.
Work Schedule

The work schedule for this position is Sunday through Wednesday, with four 10-hour shifts.
