{"Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team at New York Oncology & Hematology. The successful candidate will be responsible for compounding and dispensing medications, as well as maintaining accurate records and providing exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities * Prepare and dispense medication orders in a timely and accurate manner * Maintain and evaluate patient profiles and comprehensive drug data files * Verify patient information and proper physician authorization * Admix drugs as ordered by physician, following department guidelines and OSHA regulations * Ensure correct preparation of all formulas or medications * Provide pharmacological information and answer questions from healthcare professionals and patients * Document drug counseling and provide professional assistance to medical staff * Participate in pharmacy teaching and in-service programs * Maintain accurate temperature logs and inventory control of medications * Assist with ordering supplies and medications * Prepare labels, files, and billing * Maintain confidentiality of patient and medical staff information Requirements * Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of pharmacy and state licensure * Minimum three years experience as a registered pharmacist * Prefer three years experience in a pharmacy with IV skills * Oncology background preferred * Current license as Pharmacist in state of practice * May supervise the activities of pharmacy technicians Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
