About the Role:The ICU RN will manage the nursing care of critically ill patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Responsibilities:- Assesses, plans, and evaluates patient care needs.
- Carries out physician orders.
- Administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, and monitors vital signs.
- Provides respiratory and ventilator management and monitoring for patients.
- Serves as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care ICU RN experience.
- Associate Degree, Diploma in Nursing, or BSN required.
- Current State of Florida license for Registered Nurse or appropriate compact licensure.
- BLS required.
- ACLS required.
- CCRN preferred.
