About the Position- Weekly Pay Range: $2264 to $2515
The Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) will administer and note reactions to psychotropic drugs and other medications, arranging further medical attention when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform comprehensive assessments and manage group/behavior therapies and other interventions within scope of practice.
- Observe for normal vs. abnormal findings and report to Charge Nurse or M.D. if warranted.
- Provide direct care to acute and chronically ill psych patients, including pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric populations.
- Perform basic medical emergency procedures and care within company and facility policies and procedures.
- Identify and manage life-sustaining physiologic and psychiatric functions in unstable patients.
- Communicate therapeutically to patients and manage patients with eating disorders, drug/ETOH detox, manic depressive, hallucination-delusions, suicidal, organic seizure disorders, and seclusion procedures.
- Current registered nurse licensure in good standing.
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- ACLS certification if patient is on Telemetry Monitor.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- A minimum of one year recent psychiatric nursing experience in a healthcare facility.
