Position Overview:
We are on the lookout for skilled Aerial Linemen to fill multiple roles within our dynamic construction team. This is an exceptional opportunity for individuals who thrive in high-altitude environments and are committed to maintaining the integrity of telecommunications infrastructure. The Aerial Lineman will be crucial in the installation, upkeep, and repair of aerial cabling for our diverse clientele. This role demands a strong focus on safety, quality, and collaboration, alongside the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and challenging setting.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Aerial Lineman, your primary duties will include:
1. Installing and maintaining aerial cables and associated hardware to ensure optimal performance and safety.
2. Operating aerial lift machinery to access telecommunications lines and equipment.
3. Applying knowledge of Aerial OSP engineering to effectively plan and execute projects.
4. Conducting pole installations, replacements, and maintenance tasks as necessary.
5. Stringing and lashing cables, and installing anchors according to project specifications.
6. Following all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure working environment for all team members.
7. Collaborating with colleagues and other departments to ensure project timelines are adhered to.
8. Diagnosing and resolving issues related to aerial cable systems.
9. Performing regular inspections of cables and equipment to identify and rectify potential problems.
10. Engaging in training and development opportunities to remain informed about industry trends and advancements.
Qualifications:
To qualify for the Aerial Lineman position, candidates must possess:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Aerial Lineman in the construction or telecommunications sector.
2. A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
3. Proven experience with aerial cable installation, maintenance, and repair.
4. Proficiency in operating aerial lifts and related equipment.
5. Knowledge of Aerial OSP engineering and pole installations.
6. Familiarity with stringing and lashing cables, and installing anchors.
7. Capability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
8. Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
9. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
10. A commitment to safety and quality standards.
11. Effective time management skills to meet project deadlines.
