Position Title: Adolescent Care Registered Nurse
Reports To: Adolescent Program Manager

ROLE SUMMARY:
As an integral member of our clinical team, the Adolescent Care Registered Nurse will be responsible for delivering and supervising medical services for adolescent clients. This licensed nursing professional will coordinate the medical treatment plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring the development and execution of individualized treatment and discharge plans.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engage with clients regularly, monitoring their behaviors and reporting significant observations to the treatment team.
  • Administer prescribed medications, including injections, while providing education to clients about their treatment.
  • Manage medication orders through preferred pharmacies and oversee the tracking of refills.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to create effective treatment and nursing care plans.
  • Assist with the admission and discharge processes for clients.
  • Monitor vital signs and document symptoms accurately in client records.
  • Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and licensure requirements.
  • Continuously assess client needs and facilitate appropriate medical interventions.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation to ensure high-quality client care.
  • Participate actively in team meetings and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.
  • Ensure the clinic's medical and psychiatric schedules are well-organized.
  • Uphold professional boundaries with clients at all times.
  • Utilize de-escalation techniques when necessary to ensure safety.
  • Contribute to quality assurance and compliance efforts within the facility.
  • Provide necessary medical updates to relevant parties for effective treatment coordination.
  • Comply with all company policies and maintain confidentiality as per established standards.
  • Perform other clinically relevant tasks and special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
  • Commitment to maintaining licensure requirements throughout employment.
  • Proficient in electronic medical records systems.
  • Passion for working with adolescents and a strong desire to improve their lives.
  • Preferred: Two years of nursing experience, with at least one year in adolescent care.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and possess strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated capacity to maintain personal boundaries while building rapport with clients.
  • Understanding of ethical standards related to nursing practice.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification.
  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The position is based in an adolescent outpatient treatment facility, where exposure to emotionally challenged clients is common. The role may involve varying levels of stress depending on the situation. Physical demands include the ability to stand, walk, sit, and lift up to 15 pounds.
