Our client is in search of skilled Sheet Metal Fabrication Operators to enhance their production team. In this role, you will be tasked with the assembly of premium architectural lighting fixtures. A background in metal machining and fabrication is essential for success in this position.

Sheet Metal Fabrication Operator
Location:
Highland, NY
Compensation:
$17.00 per hour
Shifts Available:
1st Shift:
Monday - Thursday (6:00 AM - 4:30 PM), with opportunities for overtime.
2nd Shift:
Monday - Thursday (2:00 PM - 12:30 AM), including a 30-minute lunch and breaks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate various machinery within the facility, including sheet metal punching, forming, drilling, tapping, cutting, bending, and sanding.
- Collaborate with different departments to achieve production goals.
- Maintain a professional communication style.
- Ensure a tidy work environment as per company standards.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Accurately perform computer transactions in line with company policies.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a machine shop and familiarity with manufacturing and power tools is preferred.
- Metal fabrication experience is advantageous.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
