Role Summary:

We are in search of a motivated and proactive outside sales professional to manage construction equipment sales in the designated area. This position requires showcasing products, identifying potential clients within the territory, and ensuring timely follow-ups on leads. Ideal candidates will thrive in a remote work environment while efficiently organizing their time and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily territory operations and drive revenue growth through direct customer interactions and outreach via phone.
  • Develop and implement strategic business plans to meet and exceed sales targets through equipment rentals and sales.
  • Advocate for our equipment lines and promote the advantages of our Parts and Service departments.
  • Complete all necessary sales documentation, including orders and rental agreements, to finalize transactions.
  • Maintain records of customer interactions and establish goals for outreach on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in sales, particularly in the construction equipment sector, is preferred.
  • A degree in marketing, sales, business, or a related field is advantageous; candidates from other disciplines are welcome to apply.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across various departments including Parts, Service, Sales, and Rental.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to multitask.
  • A proven track record of 3 to 5 years in sales within the equipment industry or 5+ years in a comparable field.
  • Familiarity with local market dynamics and competitive landscape.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Capacity to work independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and travel overnight as necessary.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires the ability to perform essential functions, including sitting, climbing, balancing, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
