Role Summary:

We are looking for a driven and proactive outside sales professional to manage construction equipment sales in the designated regions. This position entails showcasing our products, identifying potential clients within the territory, and efficiently following up on leads. The ideal candidate will thrive in a remote work environment while effectively balancing their responsibilities.

Position Details:

Remote Sales Role

Must reside and operate within the designated sales area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily territory operations and drive revenue growth through direct customer engagement and outreach.
  • Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve sales targets through equipment rentals and sales.
  • Advocate for our equipment rental and sales offerings.
  • Highlight the advantages and services of our Parts and Service departments.
  • Complete necessary sales documentation, including orders and rental agreements, to finalize transactions.
  • Maintain a record of customer interactions and establish goals for outreach on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in sales, particularly in the construction equipment sector, is preferred.
  • A BA/BS degree in marketing, sales, business, or a related field is desirable; candidates from other disciplines are also welcome to apply.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across various departments including Parts, Service, Sales, and Rental.
  • Strong multitasking and project management skills to meet objectives.
  • A proven track record of success with 3 to 5 years of sales experience in the equipment industry or over 5 years in a comparable field.
  • Familiarity with local market dynamics and competitive landscape to drive sales performance.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Capacity to work independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
  • Ability to travel and stay overnight in various locations during the workweek.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.

The employee may occasionally need to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 10 pounds is required, with occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. Specific vision capabilities required for this role include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
