Job Overview:

Iowa Orthopedic Center is in search of a dedicated MRI Imaging Specialist to enhance our clinical team. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work four 10-hour shifts within our operational hours from Monday to Friday. The MRI Imaging Specialist is tasked with executing MRI examinations to generate superior quality images utilizing MRI technology, aiding physicians in their diagnostic processes while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. This position fosters a collaborative and supportive atmosphere aimed at improving patient outcomes.

**This role includes a $7,500 sign-on bonus for new hires**

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct high-quality MRI examinations efficiently.
  • Accurately document services rendered.
  • Assist patients with dressing, transportation, and transfers.
  • Deliver patient care and gather relevant clinical history.
  • Maintain excellent communication with patients throughout the scanning process to ensure comfort and understanding.
  • Comply with established safety protocols within the facility.
  • Maintain a tidy work area and report any supply or equipment issues to the lead technologist.
  • Schedule and screen patients for MRI procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Current MR License.
  • Current RT License.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • MRI Board Certification is required; if not certified upon hire, certification must be achieved within 12 months.
  • Continuing Education Units (CEUs) must be maintained and documented.

  • Clear verbal communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
  • Physical stamina to be on one’s feet for extended periods, with the capability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
