Iowa Orthopedic Center is in search of a dedicated MRI Technician to enhance our clinical team. This full-time role offers the flexibility of four 10-hour shifts during standard clinic hours from Monday to Friday. The MRI Technician will be tasked with executing MRI examinations to generate high-quality imaging that aids physicians in their diagnostic processes, all while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. This position fosters a collaborative and supportive environment aimed at improving patient care outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct high-quality MRI examinations efficiently.
  • Accurately document services rendered.
  • Assist patients with dressing, transportation, and transfers.
  • Provide patient care and gather relevant clinical history.
  • Maintain excellent communication with patients throughout the scanning process to ensure comfort and understanding.
  • Comply with established safety protocols.
  • Maintain a tidy work area and report any supply or equipment issues to the lead technician.
  • Schedule and screen patients for MRI procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Current MR License.
  • Current RT License.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • MRI Board Certification is required within 12 months of hire if not already certified.
  • Continuing Education Units (CEUs) must be maintained and documented.
