Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and technically proficient Assembly Technician to join our team.

This role is integral to our production operations, focusing on the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of customized point-of-sale (POS) systems.

As part of our team, you will be responsible for building new POS terminals, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

You will handle everything from the initial assembly of electro-mechanical components to wiring complex cable assemblies, as well as programming and configuring systems with the appropriate software programs.

You'll also perform detailed testing and calibration of electrical components to ensure proper functionality.

For returns and repairs, you'll diagnose issues, carry out repairs, and ensure that all systems are fully operational before they are shipped back to the customer.

You'll manage the packaging and shipment of newly constructed POS terminals as well as the shipment of replacement parts, while also maintaining accurate inventory records of incoming and returned components.

You will be a key player in maintaining the organization of our stockroom, ensuring that parts and components are readily available for production and repair workflows.

Responsibilities:

  • Assembly and prep of customized computer components
  • Wiring of various cable assemblies
  • Testing and/or calibration of parts and assemblies, both electrical and mechanical
  • Service, troubleshoot, and repair work on electro-mechanical assemblies and circuit boards, both new production builds and RMA returns diagnostic work
  • Packaging and shipping of component assemblies and fully built POS terminal systems
  • Support effective inventory management, including receiving, organizing, and distributing materials to ensure efficient workflow and pulling inventory based on bill of materials (BOM) requirements
  • Receiving and proper check-in of returned components
  • General stock room maintenance
  • Programming of PROM devices
  • Loading and configuring Windows OS onto OEM self-serve systems

Requirements:

  • Two+ years of electro-mechanical assembly experience in a dynamic production environment
  • High School Diploma
