Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in manufacturing through Continuous Improvement initiatives, addressing quality concerns on the production floor, managing new product launches, implementing engineering modifications, and documenting Lessons Learned.
  • Develop and execute process control methodologies and protocols.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of manufacturing processes, including process documentation, tooling, and facility requirements.
  • Revise and create documentation pertaining to manufacturing processes.
  • Perform time studies and line balancing to illustrate manufacturing workflows.
  • Oversee quality control measures, including the disposition of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and corrective actions.
  • Maintain and restructure Bills of Materials.
  • Manage routings and associated timing for components, weldments, and assemblies.
  • Collect and analyze relevant data.
  • Collaborate with design engineering and procurement teams to establish product specifications.
  • Design and implement systems that enhance all aspects of the production process.
  • Conduct Root-Cause Analysis and initiate corrective and preventive measures.
  • Assess product quality based on design integrity, process efficiency, and conformance standards.
  • Evaluate designs for manufacturability and recommend modifications to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Foster strong working relationships and effective communication with vendors, team members, suppliers, and project teams.
  • Apply manufacturing best practices to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and capability.
  • Provide customer support regarding design inquiries, new products, and troubleshooting for hydraulic cylinders and systems.
  • Complete various tasks and projects as assigned by supervisors or management.

  • Manufacturing Processes - Familiarity with current and planned methodologies for producing products or components.
  • Product Development in Manufacturing - Understanding of the tools and techniques used for designing, constructing, and managing new product manufacturing.
  • Product Design Life Cycle - Knowledge of the phases, activities, and deliverables involved in designing new products and enhancing existing ones; ability to apply this knowledge in various contexts.
  • Product Development Life Cycle - Awareness of the phases, activities, and deliverables associated with manufacturing new or improved products.
  • Product Testing - Capability to design, plan, and implement testing strategies to ensure product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Engineering – Manufacturing - Proficiency in applying technical, scientific, and mathematical principles to design and implement materials, structures, machines, devices, systems, and processes that achieve desired outcomes.

Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field; or two years of relevant experience and/or training in an industrial setting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in product design utilizing solid modeling drafting software (e.g., Solid Edge, Solid Works, Creo) is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, Access).
  • General knowledge of hydraulic systems and components is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while completing tasks and projects efficiently.
