Job Summary:
As a Cardiovascular Operating Room Nurse with Texas Nursing Services, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality surgical care to our diverse patient population. Working closely with surgeons and anesthesia providers, you will be responsible for ensuring the safest and most effective surgical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and prepare the Operating Room for each procedure, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functioning properly.
- Monitor patient treatment during surgery, maintaining aseptic technique and sterile fields to prevent complications.
- Implement operative policies and procedures to ensure patient safety, including patient identification, site verification, and counting of sponges, instruments, and sharps.
Requirements:
- Minimum of one year of recent hospital CV (Cardio Vascular) O.R. experience required.
- Texas State RN license or compact license accepted.
- Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider.
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing - BSN preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two years of acute care experience in a large hospital - will not accept ambulatory or surgery experience only.
- Heavy Robotics experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy environment.
