Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our team at Texas Nursing Services. As a CVOR RN, you will work closely with surgeons and anesthesia providers to deliver high-quality surgical care to our diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and prepare the Operating Room for procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Monitor patient treatment and maintain aseptic technique to prevent complications.
  • Implement operative policies and procedures to ensure patient safety, including patient identification, site verification, and counting of sponges and instruments.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year of recent hospital CV O.R. experience required.
  • Texas State RN license or compact license accepted.
  • Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing - BSN preferred.

Additional Information:

  • Must have 2 years of acute care experience in a large hospital - Will not accept ambulatory or surgery experience only.
  • Heavy Robotics experience a plus.
  • Ability to work in a busy environment with a high level of patient acuity.
