Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students
  • Develop tailored treatment plans to address the unique needs of each student
  • Deliver direct therapy services, both individually and in small groups
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create strategies supporting student progress
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to IEP goal development
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, adhering to state and federal regulations
Qualifications
  • Masters degree in communication disorders from an accredited program
  • Current Illinois Speech Language Pathologist Licensure
  • Illinois Professional Educators Licensure
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred
  • Prior experience in a school setting is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
