We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mental Health Physician to join our team at an Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital in Lakewood, Washington.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide extensive psychiatric services and work in a review, evaluation, or consultative capacity. Our hospital offers a collaborative and dynamic environment where you can make a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing psychiatric care to patients on wards in the Center for Forensic Services, civil admission wards, and longer-term civil wards for non-geriatric and geriatric adults.
  • Certifying the medical necessity of hospital level of care, prescribing and reviewing appropriate medication and treatment.
  • Performing ongoing assessments of the patient's response to treatments and developing release plans or justifications for continued inpatient status.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A valid license to practice medicine in Washington State.
  • Successful completion of an ACGME-approved residency in Psychiatry.
  • Strong psychopharmacology skills.
  • Ability to pass a background check including criminal record history.
